Iām a film and digital photographer based in San Francisco, California who is experienced working out in nature and within a venue. Photography is my specialty but with a background in studio art, I also enjoy ceramics, print printing, and sewing in my free time.
I am a Bay Area native, growing up in San Francisco and later moving to Pacifica, a small beach town on the border of the Bay. It was the beauty of growing up along the California coast that sparked my interest to pick up a camera and teach myself. I started with film photography as I was drawn to the tactile feel of operating a camera and the process of developing film in the darkroom.
While studying studio art at San Francisco State University, I worked with multiple newspapers and publications to cover live concerts and music festivals in San Francisco and Los Angeles. I loved the contrast between live events and photographing landscapes as it honed my skills to capture great images quickly and creatively while working under strict limitations of location, lighting, and time.
After graduating from SFSU I worked with a media production company to assist in producing content for government agencies and Discovery+ including shows such as HGTV, Food Network, Animal Planet, and Travel Channel. As a photographer, I was exposed to new shooting scenarios including the patience and silence needed to photograph wildlife, or stepping back to capture the crew within a scene for a unique perspective.
